Arcadia Crossing’s Pretty Patio Contest is an opportunity to show off your creativity and beautify your outdoor space—winners will receive a rent discount for July!

All participants will be notified when winners have been selected. Winners will be notified directly via both phone-call and email.

Patio policy.
Here are a few reminders about our patio policies:

Furniture
All furniture should be specifically designed and intended for outdoor use only.Decorations
As with furniture, decorations need to be able to withstand the elements they’re exposed to and needs to be fully in compliance with the regulations provided in the Rules section. -
Curtains
All curtains, drapery, and mounting hardware must be specifically designed for outdoor use and should be primarily solid or natural colors. All hangings of this nature must be pre-approved for use by Management.Gates / Protective Mesh
Similar to curtains, these must be designed for outdoor use and must be approved by Management prior to installation.Affixed Items
Nothing can be permanently affixed to the walls or ceiling without prior approval from Management. In this context, permanent fixtures are those which require patchwork to repair once the item has been removed. -
Feeders
Any feeders must be specifically for birds only. Please do not utilize any feeders which are intended for animals other than our friends with wings!Lighting
Any additional lighting you choose to hang or install needs to be rated and intended for outdoor use. Anything that isn’t intended for outdoor use is a fire hazard and will need to be removed immediately.Installation of Feeders and Lighting
If you’d like to use mounting hardware that will require patchwork to repair once the fixture is removed, please obtain preapproval for this from Management beforehand. -
Fire pits and smokers (such as pellet, electric, gas, or charcoal) are prohibited.
Approved Grill/BBQ Types
As long as the grill is not designed to cook in a smoke-controlled environment. The following types are approved for general use:Electric

All plants should be properly cared for:
Any dead plants or foliage needs to be removed (fire hazard)
Appropriate drainage trays and water management must be provided for each plant
Water should never fall from balconies or windows
Be sure to check out our Judging section for resources concerning pollinator-friendly plants!

We’re looking for creativity, style, and overall wow-factor! We want to see you shine through your space, so don’t be afraid to show off your own style.

We’ve been planting new trees and growth in our beautiful nature reserve, and with the influx of new blooms, we’re seeing an influx in our pollinators!
We’re excited to see what blooms next, and we’d love for you to be part of it! If you enjoy keeping plants, adding pollinator-friendly blooms to your patio helps expand this little ecosystem we nurture here at Arcadia Crossing.
